Pastor Valeene Bedford, M.Th.

Assistant Pastor, Agape Christian Church International

Valeene Bedford is an ordained Christian minister, elder, and the Assistant Pastor of Agape Christian Church International.   Pastor Bedford specializes in Old Testament studies, and has taught Biblical theology courses as an adjunct professor of Oral Roberts University since 2009.

My Story

In 2005, she began serving as Agape’s Missions Ministry Leader after co-founding Agape’s missions ministry, Seeds of the Heart Inc. (formerly Seeds of Hope). Seeds of the Heart is a 501c3 non-profit that services Agape’s churches in Africa and India.

In 2015, Pastor Bedford also co-founded the non-profit Refugee Resource Center, a program of Seeds of the Heart.  She is the Center’s Director of Advocacy Initiatives.  The Refugee Resource Center develops educational services; mentoring liaisons; career internships, and provides advocacy assistance for Tucson’s extensive refugee, immigrant and asylum-seeking population.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Pastor Bedford enjoys spending time with family, traveling the world, and researching the Hebrew diaspora.  She serves on a number of community boards in support of criminal justice reform and immigrant rights protection.   She is a contributing author to the anthology,

“The Purpose and Power of Mentorship”*, published in 2020.
