Church Mission

ACCI church.jpg

Agape’s mission is to fulfill the Great Commission given by our Lord in Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16, and Acts 1:8. We are to go and make disciples of all nations. We are to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Our mission is to also be witnesses first in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the world. This is to be done by Agape having a local strategy, city strategy, state strategy, and world strategy. Our commission is to discipline the world.

Our mission is also to restore the ministry function of the Apostle and Prophet, according to Ephesians 4:11. We believe that through these anointings we’ll see the same manifestations in our church as we see in the book of Acts. We believe God is the same yesterday, today, and forever more. We will see a recovery of great power and great grace. Acts 4:33

Our Mission is to Become:

A Power Conscious Church

The Church was born in power! The sound of a mighty rushing wind set the stage and immediately the church exploded into life. It’s not just coincidence that the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the church went hand in hand. It was not only born in power, but it conquered in power, faced opposition in power, and most importantly it grew in power!

A Witnessing Church

Acts 1:8 says, “You shall be my witnesses.” It does not say, “Will you be my witnesses?” Witnessing was not an option in the early church: “Now those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.” Just as in Acts 8:4, witnessing is not an option for the church today! Churches that are thriving, growing, and expanding rapidly are churches that have caught the vision of evangelism.

A Giving Church

“To give or not to give?” That was never the question in the early church. There was spontaneity in giving that provided the church with necessary funds to do God’s work. In the churches that are growing and doing great things for God, if you look behind the scenes, you will see sacrificial giving on a great scale.

A Growing Church

It is a point of interest that the very first church that God brought into existence was a large church. There were more than 3,000 baptized in one day! That’s growth! Later, they were so numerous that they were simply referred to as multitudes. God is not concerned with the size of any church as long as it is a growing church. God created, designed, equipped and empowered the church to grow. Believe God for something BIG! God wants us to have a vision for a Mighty Church!
